Beyond Business, We Care — Proud of Our Team’s Lifesaving Contribution

In celebration of the birthday of Mr. Suraj Kathurusinghe, Managing Director of the SCK Group of Companies, the management and staff organized the noble meritorious Blood Donation Campaign for the 11th consecutive time.
The event was held on Friday, October 3rd, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the SCK Head Office, located at St. Joseph Vaz Centre, 08 Maradana Road, Borella, Colombo.

As customary, the event commenced with religious observances conducted under the guidance of the Chief Incumbent of the Borella Thilakarathnarama Temple, Ven. Rathgama Upananda Thero, Rev. Fr. Lalith Perera, the Treasurer of the Archdiocese of Colombo, and Rev. Fr. Prasad Harshana of St. Aloysius Church.

Distinguished invitees graced the occasion, including Chief Inspector Chandana Withanage, Officer-in-Charge of Borella Police Station; Mr. Tushara Kulatunga, General Manager of the Belliss Institute; Mr. Kamal Ganepola, Chairman of the Sri Lanka Port Management and Consultancy Services; Mr. C.C. Wijegunawardena, Principal of the Swiss Lanka Hotel School; Mr. Vishva Lokugamage, Chief Executive Officer of Union Travels; and Mr. Malraj Balapitiya, former Chief Executive Officer of SLT Rainbow Pages. The event was also attended by Mr. Suraj Kathurusinghe, Managing Director of the SCK Group, along with members of the Board of Directors and a large number of employees.

Once again, a significant number of individuals came forward to make this noble act of blood donation a success. Among the donors were representatives from import and export sector institutions, the Belliss Institute, and members of the Sri Lanka Army, along with many others. The SCK Group extends its heartfelt appreciation and sincere gratitude to the medical officers and staff of the National Blood Bank, to all who donated blood to save lives, and to everyone who contributed in various ways to make this charitable event a success.
